Thanks to everyone who registered and attended our recent PRIME Patient Town Hall: Achieving Empowered Multiple Sclerosis Care last week! We had a great turnout and lots of important information was shared. Stay tuned for more collaborations between WAI and PRIME!

Announcing MS Awareness Month 2022: Take Control!

We are excited to share with you some of our programming for MS Awareness Month!!

March is Multiple Sclerosis Awareness Month–a time to bring awareness to those living, surviving, and thriving with this disease of the central nervous center. This month, WAI will be supporting the national campaign with some innovative and timely educational programming for Black women, their family members and supporters.

This candid conversation will spotlight the importance of bias in eligibility requirements for clinical trials. Dr. Kalina Sanders, will also discuss designing trials that encourage broader participant enrollment.

We'll define what inclusive language is, its importance and ways that we can positively reshape how we communicate about disability in society. We'll recruit a subject matter expert.

At WAI, we understand the importance of advocating for oneself. We will share tips on exactly what it means to advocate for yourself and best practices.

As we await a post-pandemic time, we'll stay safe and have another virtual #weareillmatic Members Meetup! This online social event, will include icebreakers, simple games and activities. This will give our community the connection that they've been missing and allow a deeper connection.
